Understanding DNA Testing for Immigration

DNA testing for immigration purposes involves using genetic testing to establish a biological relationship between individuals seeking to obtain residency or citizenship in a particular country, such as the United Kingdom.

This type of testing is often required by immigration authorities to verify familial relationships, particularly in cases where traditional documentation is insufficient or under question. The test results can be used to support immigration applications, reunite families, or satisfy legal requirements related to immigration processes.

Immigration DNA Testing Around the World

We understand that many families live in different countries. For test participants outside of the UK, samples are collected at a medical centre of your choice. Depending on the area, we have many clinics around the world that we have worked with numerous times.

In recent years, we have assisted many families with test participants based in Ghana. We are highly recommended by Ghanaian families and most of our business is on referrals from previous customers.

For customers who live in Pakistan, we have clinics in Islamabad and Karachi that we have worked with for over 10 years which we can recommend.  You are also welcome to choose your medical centre for sample collection in the city of your choice.

For customers who live in South Africa, we have worked with Pathcare Reference Laboratories for many years and we can work with you and them to arrange your sampling appointments, meaning there is no need for you to locate your sampling clinic. You are welcome to choose your sampling clinic, of course.

Please contact us with your enquiry including if any family member needs samples outside of the UK, and we can give you the total Immigration DNA test price with no hidden fees!

How to Undergo DNA Testing for Immigration Purposes

If you are considering DNA testing for immigration, here are key steps to help you navigate the process, whether you need to arrange for sampling kits to be sent abroad or for UK sample collection appointments.

  • Step 1

Contact us by email or telephone at 0191 543 6334 to arrange for a personalised quotation depending on your testing requirements.

  • Step 2

Once you are happy to proceed, we will take a £200 deposit at the time of ordering to cover the cost of the kit preparation and any courier fees. The residual balance must be paid in full before we can release the result.

  • Step 3

Provide us with the full names and dates of birth of all test participants and the details of where each sample is to be collected.

  • Step 4

We will arrange for the shipment of sampling kits to be sent to the destinations abroad if applicable and their subsequent return to the UK. Any UK sample collection appointments will be arranged.

  • Step 5

From the date that we receive ALL samples for processing in the laboratory, we quote 4 working days for delivery of DNA test results. The contracting party shall receive a written copy of the DNA test report and we can also provide the Home Office/Passport Office or family Solicitor with a copy of the test result.

Important Information Regarding Sample Collections

Whether you are based internationally or locally, here’s what you need to know when arranging sample collections conveniently and efficiently.

Donors Overseas

If any of the test participants live outside of the UK, we will arrange to send a bespoke sampling kit to a medical centre of the family's choice where the donors may go to have their samples taken. We only require the following:

  • Medical centre name.
  • Medical centre address including postal code.
  • Contact name for the person at the clinic receiving the sampling kit.
  • Contact telephone and email of this person receiving the sampling kit.

Donors in the UK

We have a large network of registered sample collectors who can visit the donor in the comfort of their own home on a day and at a time that fits with them. Additional fees shall apply for this service. Please provide us with the address you would like the sample collected from for a quotation.
