We also carry out genetic testing in the clinical research area (www.geneblitz.com). Amongst a range of state-of-the-art services, one of our key areas of expertise in is drug metabolism, whereby we analyse for genetic changes which affect the ability of a patient to break down drugs, a key part of determination of the correct dose of treatment for that patient.
In this regard we have won contracts with some of the world’s largest Contract Research Organisations (CROs), who are helping pharmaceutical companies to develop the next generation of life enhancing and life-saving drugs.
Our Research
Complement Genomics Ltd, the owner of dadcheck®gold, is developing new products and services in microbiomics, which includes our long-standing interest in wound care and the mechanisms of inflammation, via study of biomarker and DNA polymorphisms. We are also active in the non-human DNA testing market for animals and plants, including Citizen Science projects.
Our Founders
Ms Louise Allcroft BSc., MSc., is the Chief Executive Officer and is a post graduate of Newcastle University in Medical Genetics, having carried out research into the genetics of colon cancer.
Louise is responsible for the day to day running of the company and is the authorised signatory. She is also the designated Quality Manager for ISO/IEC 17025.
She says,“ I take great pride in personally checking every report that leaves the company. Quality, high standards, efficiency and accuracy are paramount in all of our interactions with our customers”.
Dr Neil Sullivan BSc, MBA (DIC), LLM, PhD is the General Manager. He has been involved in genetic testing and molecular biology for over 30 years and is the author of over 40 original publications and two books. His current role in the company is in new business development and marketing.
